Business Development Lead

Position Description:

Work closely with the management team to identify, develop, and capture business opportunities within the public and private sectors, Conduct research and identify opportunities to leverage company core capabilities. Develop and manage relationships with government and commercial clients, stakeholders and industry partners to promote and shape new business opportunities. Develop win strategies through conducting competitive analysis, pricing, teaming, and solution recommendations. Establish and maintain a familiarity with current and potential client’s needs and acclimate to our company capabilities and solutions for the purpose of securing task orders, contracts and new business. 

A successful candidate possesses the following:

  • A strategic thinker with the ability to create and execute strategies that lead to new business growth. 
  • A self-starter who can demonstrate a history of competitive wins on key programs within new market sectors including government and commercial environments in the aviation market specifically. 
  • Experience with market research, procurement forecast tools and services as well as business development capture processes in the federal markets.
  • Strong team player and knowledge of necessary resources, processes and methodologies to maximize business development and capture success.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and problem solving skills with the ability to gain support and establish working relationships with managers, peers and staff are essential.
  • Strong understanding of aviation and supporting advanced weather solutions and services.
  • Proven ability to write compelling and winning proposals for the federal government.
  • Lead/manage proposal capture efforts.
  • Be able to lead teaming/partnering discussions

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering or related technical discipline with proven experience in business development, pipeline development, capturing and winning work with new customers.
